Appointments
Schedule visits and keep the clinic's day organized.
The Appointments page shows your clinic's schedule. Every appointment links a patient, a provider, a date and time, and a visit type.
Working the schedule
Booking an appointment
- Open Appointments in the sidebar and click New appointment.
- Search the patient by name or file number — the picker is keyboard-friendly (arrow keys to move, Enter to select). Their name and initials fill in automatically.
- Choose the date, time, type of visit, and the provider — the provider is a searchable list of the clinic's doctors (arrow keys + Enter). The date picker won't let you pick a past day, so appointments can't accidentally land in the past.
- Save. The appointment appears in the schedule.
Managing the day
- Click any appointment to open its detail panel, where you can edit the date, time, type, provider, and status — for example to mark it checked-in, completed, or cancelled.
- Delete (from the same panel) removes it from the schedule entirely (use status changes for normal bookkeeping; delete is for mistakes).
Calendar view
The Calendar button (next to the search box) opens a Google-Calendar-style month grid — color-coded chips per day; click a day to list its appointments in full. When you ask the AI chat about appointments (e.g. "what's on this week?"), it replies with a condensed card and a View in calendar link that opens this month view on the right date, rather than flooding the chat with a card per appointment.
Appointments added from the AI chat show an Added by AI badge and may have placeholder fields (e.g. provider "Unassigned") — click the row to review and fill them in.
Reception, doctors, members, admins, and owners can all create and manage appointments — scheduling is front-desk work by design. Pharmacy and lab staff can see the schedule but not change it.
Changes to appointments show up in the activity feed and trigger notifications, so the team stays in sync without anyone sending a message.
